Driving's Overrated.

*slaps self*

Can't believe I just said that, but yeah.

I remember the dumb and innocent pre-license days.
I think I have captured some essence of it in this blog. Gotta look back.

I was excited, pumped and all that shite. Every trip to BBDC started with HELL YEAH I'M GONNA DRIVE A CAR and ended with HELL YEAH I JUST DROVE A CAR.

I remember the Poly days when I feel bummed staring at the guys going off in their bikes...
and me just smelling their smoke.

The days when I asked "hey XXXX, going back door right?" or "961 or 170"?

The good ol' days.....hah hah hah.

Monday, 26 April 2010, 10am - I did it. It took fricken' $1.8 grand and 1 year to get it but I got it. Danny finally got his driver's license. I felt like I scored with Leah Dizon. It was that AWESOME.

But then reality hit. Damn you, reality! You always hit at the wrong time! But moving on....

Driving in Singapore is a load of horsecrap. Well to me at least. You see, I get bored easily. REALLY easily. I have a short/no attention span.

There's a traffic light like every 10 metres of road. Most of the time, my foot's on the brake. I didn't know why this didn't hit me when I was learning. Damn you again, reality!

Basically, it's a bore to drive in these roads. A road trip in Singapore (if you could call it that) consists of 75% stopping and 25% going. And 10% of going consists of finding parking space.

Hehehe then again....who am I kidding?

Of course it'll be like this. Did I really expect cruising down the highway with the wind in my hair? Naw... (By the way Korean Aaron, if you're reading this, there is no such thing as "cruising around" in Singapore.)

Right now I'm just really, really, really, really, really, really, really happy I got what I've wanted since I turned 18. A one-night st..... a driver's license.

I'm also really, really, really, really, really, really, really thankful that Allah has bestowed upon my family a trusty red steed for which to travel on. Thank you so much.

I'm one lucky dude.

Did I mention I was really happy and thankful?

Heh, but still it doesn't get off that feeling of being used though.

Since I got my license, I've been driving people around almost everyday.

I used to be a cyclist. Now I'm just a chaffeur. *sigh*

Oh yeah, I just want to take this opportunity to thank ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE FETCHED AND SENT ME HOME FROM OUTINGS. You know who you are...Zal, Gab, Najib, Marcus, Zach...and any other dudes whom I've been an asshole and forgot. You guys are da bomb. And of course my mom and dad, but I'm repaying them now. :(

Right now, all I wanna do is follow what Rihanna says and just shut up and drive.
When I feel like it, of course.
