Transition to Mars.

Finally!

Today's the day we get our course postings.

Well, I got my 3rd choice, which is Mechatronic Engineering. My first and second choices were Mass Communications and Digital Visual Effects respectively.

Well, at least it was worth a shot.

I wish everyone well in their courses and I hope they will move on to succeed from this. :)

Something else happened today too.

Did anyone feel the tremors today?

There was an earthquake somewhere in Sumatra. This one registered 6.6 on the Richter scale and thank goodness there weren't any tsunamis.

I didn't feel anything at all. I think it's because I was sitting down and airdrumming along some Iron Maiden.

Everyone knows I have a full moon that could eclipse the whole solar system. Heck, I think I could save a car crash with my rear.

Thank you God, for making me bootylicious. Stand aside, Fergie!

Ok, no more butts. I stand behind this promise.

Oopsie.

Even though we all got our postings and all, I still don't know what to expect from Poly life.

I mean, we've been through a rather robotic experience in education. The difference between primary school and secondary school for me is, well, puberty. Although, looking at the size and maturity of our juniors lately, I may need to change this mindset.

Look at the Sec 1s, dudes and dudettes. Some of them look like freakin' toddlers! The last time I went back to Unity, I saw these pipsqueak boys playing catch in the canteen and one of em's screaming in an awefully high pitch. The basketball courts were dominated by more pipsqueaks. I swear, it's a whole flippin' tribe.

I hope the government or some big body (ugh.) realises that Singaporean kids are gettin' dangerously tiny.

One day, we Singaporeans will be renowned for creating a generation of baby-faced, vertically-challenged and shrill-voiced people. And then the Ang Mohs will attack us and do evil scientific experiments on us. And before we know it, we'll have our sovereignity taken away and be forced to live in mushrooms and wear socks on our heads and the experiments will turn our skins blue...

I really hope to see a change in Poly, even though I will most probably contribute to the pipsqueak community in Ngee Ann (I hope not). Anyway, going back to Unity was quite a morale booster. It's quite an experience to be towering over those students although you're not much either. :)

Well, earlier I said that primary and secondary education's routine. What I meant was that we followed an unvarying procedure almost everyday and that we were required to don uniforms.

POLY'S ONE HECK OF A CHANGE, BUGGA!

No more uniforms and no more C3P0-ing through the day. Freedom!

Which means more headaches for me, the fashion guy.

Sure it's gonna force me to be more creative, but I'm insecure on what I should wear, what colours clash and what match. You know, THAT kinda stuff. I guess that effectively classifies me as "geek". :)

Poly also presents a platform for a manly discussion - girls.

I've lost count of how many times people come to me saying "Hey, Poly girls are hot."

"Hey, let's go Poly X coz there's a lot of chiobus in there."

I didn't know girls were THAT compelling. Be still, my raging hormones.

Well, all of that (yes, including above the girls thing) can wait. I've been told we're gonna start on April 15, which still leaves us some time to be free. So come, my friends. It's been long since we've gathered for football.

LET'S JOGA BONITO, DAMN IT.

Ahhhhh...yes..never have liberty been so great. For now, I'm gonna spend my time the same....sleeping my mornings away, vacuuming the house on alternate days, playing the guitar, being on the computer, watching The Nanny reruns at my gramps at night.....

And repeating that cycle.. :)

So much slacking to do, so little time.
